Looks like we are pretty much done with our road trip itinerary . . . finally! It has taken so many hours to get to this point. We changed it again today and are thinking about adding one more day to the end of the trip. We had planned on going to the 4 Corners Monument where the corners of 4 states come together, but it just didn't work with our plans, so now instead we are going to the Grand Canyon and we're going to stay there. I'm really excited about that! I've been there before, but it was a quick trip and I barely remember it. So now we will be staying one mile from the Grand Canyon, so I'll be able to spend lots of time there and be able to photograph it at sunset. We also made our reservations for when we will be in Las Vegas. We are going to stay in a mini-suite at Treasure Island. The reservations were 50% off, so we got a great price on the room. I can't believe that it's less than 4 weeks away!
Good call. 4 Corners is a dump! It literally is like in the parking lot of a truck stop gas station! GC is way better! Williams has a lot of cute little restaurants and stuff. We took the train from there to the GC and it was quite an adventure. There was a staged train robbery, but hitting the cow with the train was not planned!
