I'm getting really excited about our road trip.  It's just a little more than 2 weeks away!  We finally have all of the hotel reservations made, our itinerary is done, and the pet list for Casey (our house/pet sitter) is printed out.  Now we just have to find gifts to bring our family.  We want to find things that are made or grown in California (nuts, wine, beer, etc.).  We have some ideas, but if you have an idea, please let me know.  And keep checking back for our updates!!!

Completing our itinerary

Looks like we are pretty much done with our road trip itinerary . . . finally!  It has taken so many hours to get to this point.  We changed it again today and are thinking about adding one more day to the end of the trip.  We had planned on going to the 4 Corners Monument where the corners of 4 states come together, but it just didn't work with our plans, so now instead we are going to the Grand Canyon and we're going to stay there.  I'm really excited about that!  I've been there before, but it was a quick trip and I barely remember it.  So now we will be staying one mile from the Grand Canyon, so I'll be able to spend lots of time there and be able to photograph it at sunset.  We also made our reservations for when we will be in Las Vegas.  We are going to stay in a mini-suite at Treasure Island.  The reservations were 50% off, so we got a great price on the room.  I can't believe that it's less than 4 weeks away!
